About Cynthia Armistead, SLP
Cynthia Armistead is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She received both her Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Central Missouri. Initially she worked with adults and children addressing communication/swallowing disorders in a variety of settings which included: nursing homes, an outpatient clinic, and home health care for almost 4 years. Cynthia then began working within her own private practice in which she eventually became focused solely upon the successful treatment of children. Cynthia has been serving the Fort Leonard/St. Robert communities and surrounding areas for over 24 years. Cynthia has completed many trainings and provided treatment for language disorders related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, early language delays, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, and feeding disorders; She has been and remains a strong advocate for her patients and their families. Cynthia provides therapy sessions not only in clinic, but also within a teletherapy model as needed.
